Vital Martial Arts Academy Proud of Students’ Performance at the ICMAC!

The 25th International Chinese Martial Arts Championships (ICMAC) was held in Orlando, Florida on July 1-2, 2023. This was the largest kung fu tournament in the USA, with over 150 schools and 1,200 participants.

Team Vital Martial Arts Academy was well represented at the ICMAC, with students competing in a variety of events. Our students won a total of 12 medals:

  • Brooklyn “Anya” Moore (9 – 12 y.o.) – 🥉 Wushu Hand Forms, 🥈 Wushu Long Weapon, 🥉Wushu Short Weapon, 5th Kung Fu Hand Forms, 5th Kung Fu Long Weapon
  • Carlos Gomez- Moreno (9 – 12 y.o.) – 🥈 Wushu Hand Forms, 🥈 Wushu Long Weapon, 6th Kung Fu Hand Forms
  • Gabriel Moore (6 – 8 y.o.) – 5th Kung Fu Hand Forms
  • Maria Gomez-Moreno (6 – 8 y.o.) –  🥉 Wushu Hand Forms, 🥈 Wushu Long Weapon, 🥉 Kung Fu Hand Forms
  • Sorina Codita (6 – 8 y.o.) – 🥈 Wushu Hand Forms, 🥇 Wushu 5 Step Longfirst,🥇 Wushu Long Weapon, 🥉Kung Fu Hand Forms

The 25th ICMAC was a challenging but rewarding experience for our students. It was also a a great opportunity for our students to build relationships with other martial artists and learn from their experiences.

We are so proud of Anya, Carlos, Gabriel, Maria and Sorina and we look forward to their continued success in the future.
