On March 28, we held a focused testing session for our newest generation of practitioners. For many, this was the first time stepping onto the floor to demonstrate their skills under formal evaluation. It was a solid display of the foundational work required to progress at the academy.

Testing Highlights

The session focused on the core pillars of our beginner curriculum. We looked for more than just memorization; we looked for the “Vital” effort behind every movement.

  • Foundational Techniques & Forms: Candidates demonstrated the basic stances and striking patterns required for their next rank, showing a clear understanding of the fundamental sequences.
  • Flexibility & Body Mechanics: We saw a strong effort in basic stretching and the ability to maintain proper alignment during kicks and transitions.
  • Introductory Acrobatics: Students showcased their progress in basic agility, including rolls and entry-level aerial control.
  • Conditioning: The test pushed their physical limits, ensuring everyone has the stamina to handle the increased intensity of the next level.

Earning that first belt is about building a baseline. It’s the moment a student stops “trying” martial arts and starts practicing them.

The Road Ahead

Congratulations to those who passed. You’ve cleared the first hurdle, but the requirements only get steeper from here. Use this achievement as a foundation for the harder work coming in the next cycle.

Thanks to the families who joined us to witness the progress.
