Whether you’re a local parent looking for a high-energy activity for your kids or an adult seeking a peaceful reset, we’ve designed a special series of events to bring the traditions of the Orient right to our South Florida community.
For the Kids: Dragon Spirits and Lucky Envelopes
Our kids’ classes are going to be legendary this year! We’re blending the discipline of Wushu with the magic of ancient folklore.
- Epic Storytelling: We’ll dive into the legend of the demon Sui and why we wear red to keep the “New Year Monster” at bay.
- Wushu & Kung Fu Forms: Kids will learn dynamic “Horse Stance” power and fluid movements inspired by the 2026 zodiac, helping them build coordination and confidence.
- The Red Envelope (Hongbao) Tradition: Every student will participate in the tradition of receiving a red envelope, symbolizing protection and good luck for their school year.
- Sweet Success: No celebration is complete without Nian Gao (Year Cake). Its name is a homonym for “getting higher every year,” a perfect metaphor for our students’ progress in their ranks!
For the Adults: Balance, Breath, and Bliss
For our adult community, we are moving away from the noise and into a space of intentionality with a focus on internal arts.
- Tai Chi for the Soul: Find your center with guided Tai Chi sessions designed to harmonize the body’s energy as we transition into the lunar cycle.
- Special “Spring Qigong” Flow: In Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring is the season of the Wood Element, which governs the liver and gallbladder. Our special Qigong workshop will focus on gentle stretches and “expelling the old to take in the new,” helping you detoxify and boost your vitality for the year ahead.
- Gong Fu Tea Ceremony: After training, join us for a traditional tea ceremony. We’ll be serving premium Oolong and Green teas, teaching the art of “mindful sipping” and the etiquette of honoring guests—a beautiful way to connect with your fellow Hallandale Beach neighbors.
