On February 21, 2026 Vital Martial Arts Academy opened its doors for a special event that was about much more than just “fighting.” It was about confidence, community, and the vital skills every woman needs to navigate the world with peace of mind.
Our Women’s Self-Defense Workshop was a massive success, bringing together a group of determined women ready to step into their power.
Part 1: The Mindset of Safety (Theory)
We kicked off the afternoon with a deep dive into situational awareness. Led by Sifu Gio, best-selling author of “Positive Self-Defense,” we discussed:

Part 2: Practical Skills for the Real World
Once the theory was set, it was time to move! The energy in the room shifted as participants got hands-on experience with techniques that are Simple, Effective, and Accessible.
From learning how to break a wrist grab to perfecting the high-impact palm strike, every student walked away with “quick wins” they could use immediately. The focus wasn’t on complex choreography, but on functional movements that work regardless of size or strength.
