Vital Martial Arts Academy in Hallandale Beach, South Florida, was proud to host a vibrant celebration of World Tai Chi and Qigong Day on April 26th! The event brought together practitioners of all levels to share in the beauty and health benefits of these ancient arts.
We were honored to welcome Sifu Alexander Repeka from Dublin, Ireland, who led the day’s activities alongside our own Sifu Vital Yarashevich and Sifu Vladimir Babarykin from Boca Raton, Florida, also representing the South Florida martial arts community. Their combined expertise created an inspiring and enriching experience for everyone involved.
The day was filled with graceful movements, focused breathing exercises, and a sense of community that truly embodies the spirit of Tai Chi and Qigong. Participants enjoyed learning new techniques, deepening their understanding, and connecting with fellow enthusiasts.
About World Tai Chi and Qigong Day
World Tai Chi and Qigong Day is celebrated annually on the last Saturday of April. It started in 1999 and is now observed in over 80 nations with events happening at 10 am local time worldwide, creating a global “wave” of energy and movement. The day aims to promote the health benefits of these practices, educate the public about emerging medical research, and thank Chinese culture for sharing these valuable gifts. The celebrations often include mass demonstrations, free classes, and opportunities for practitioners to connect and share their knowledge.
