We’re thrilled to share the exciting news that Vital Martial Arts Academy made a strong showing at the 18th University Wushu Games held on December 7, 2024, in College Park, MD. Our dedicated students displayed exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship, bringing honor to our academy and inspiring others.
The University Wushu Games is a prestigious event that attracts top-tier athletes from universities across the nation. Our team, comprised of talented individuals, competed fiercely in various disciplines, including International Competition Events and Standard Open Competition.
Our Accomplishments:
Group C International:
- Carlos Gomez-Moreno – 2nd place Jianshu, 3rd place Gunshu, 2nd place Traditional Northern Kung Fu Barehand, 1st place Other Weapons
- Marco Viscito – 1st place Traditional Northern Kung Fu Barehand, 2nd place Other Weapons
- Sorina Codita – 3rd place Changquan, 2 place Jianshu, 1st places Gunshu, Traditional Northern Kung Fu Barehand, Other Weapons
Group A Beginners:
- Diana Bushueva – 1st places Changquan, Jianshu, Gunshu, Traditional Northern Kung Fu Barehand, Other Weapons
- Mason Forth – 1st places Changquan, Jianshu, Gunshu
Group B Beginners:
